Since its inception in 1814, the office of the Putnam County District Attorney has prided itself on the fair and
impartial administration of justice, which current District Attorney Adam Levy describes as the

Adam B. Levy
Putnam County District Attorney
Elected in 2008, Levy succeeds a long list of professionals serving as the county's chief
lawman -- ranging from Walker Todd, Frederick Stone, Jeremiah Hine and Charles Ga Nun,
who served in the early days of the D.A.'s office, to more recently the late
S. Barrett Hickman, Joseph Costello and Kevin Wright.
The office of the Putnam County District Attorney continues to strive for excellence by
upholding the public's trust in the pursuit of justice and the equal enforcement
of the law.
D.A. Levy and his staff accomplish their mission each day by prosecuting cases without
fear or favor - because in Putnam County no one is above the law and no one is below its protections.
The public is encouraged to visit the District Attorney's
website regularly to find information about the DA's staff, current events and appearances
made by the district attorney and assistants as well as basic court information.
